Goals.

We all have them but do we work hard enough to achieve them? It's been no secret that I've always been a big (no pun intended) supporter of Weight Watchers. I earned (yes, earned) Lifetime Status on 09/11/2006 just a couple months after my Mom passed away.

Oddly enough, I met my goal weight the Saturday before she went in for her surgery. She was SO proud of me & I called her every single Saturday morning after my weigh-ins. It didn't matter if it was a loss, maintain or a gain. She waited for my call.

I've always said the reason I keep this blog is to motivate, encourage, inspire, etc. others to be successful. If I can go from pushing 300 pounds to running a couple marathons & living well then anyone can do it.

So my goal has always been to go work for Weight Watchers but in order for that to happen I have to regain my Lifetime status (within 2 pounds of goal weight.) I don't want to be a meeting room receptionist either. I want to be a Leader. So today, I opted in for a Monthly Pass & will start attending the meetings again this coming Saturday. It's perfect timing since they will be rolling out a new program (which from what I can gather is MUCH more geared towards healthy living as opposed to 100 calorie packs being less points.) You must also be attending meetings (providing that info) so that's part of the goal planning.

I hope to achieve this by the end of the year (even through the holidays) & submit my application by 12/31/10. With that I have 8 pounds to lose & have started being very dilligent about tracking, working out harder...all while enjoying life. Hello, I lost weight on my vacation & never said no to anything!!!! I've got this ;)

Do you have a year end goal?? Have you taken the steps to get there? Will you MAKE it happen?

I dare you!

Looking at the WW website was actually on my agenda for this week. The hubs thinks this will be a great thing for us to s tart with after the baby arrives since they do cater to women who bf, etc.

You've got it, I can feel it! This was really inspiring...I'm off to think about what I want to accomplish most before I say goodbye to 2010.

Great goal. I think you will be quite pleased with the Points Plus program. It really works well with a "clean eating" or whole foods based diet and it values protein so you won't find yourself fighting point-wise to make it work. Stay tuned as the new program will roll out just after Thanksgiving and on 11/29 on-line.
I always resonate with you. We have so much in common. I decided several years ago that I too wanted to give something back and have been working as a part-time receptionist for WW for the past two years. I encourage you to not be so quick as to dismiss starting out as a receptionist - that's what I was encouraged to do and LOL! it has worked well for me. I will be a far better leader as a result.

You guys sure know how to make a girl feel good ;) Thank you all seriously for the encouragement!

And Pam, I'm definitely not discounting reception! I actually think to get the ball rolling, I'm going to apply now for that since I'm in range & that way I can chat sooner with the Territory Manager about it more! I'm super excited. Oh how I wish you could spill about the new program but based on what you are saying it's sounding a lot like the UK version which sounds fabulous!!!!

You are going to make one hell of a WW Leader! With your abilities to motivate and inspire and the knowledge you've gathered....well, I wouldn't hesitate to send my friends to your meetings!

My goal is to make it through my first year of grad school...so far my life is centered around it, so it is only a matter of time and effort :)

You're going to be a great leader, Heather! You're already an inspiration to those who have never even met you (like me). People in your meetings will be very lucky. I'm excited for you! :)
