It's finally time......

.....to get outta dodge. Warmer temps though not as warm as I'd like, it'll still beat the upper 20's forecast for the rest of the week here.

I can hardly believe that it's time to leave for the wedding. We depart tomorrow afternoon & Kevin just surprised me with the tidbit that he's not working at all tomorrow. We get to start our wedding vacation together :) Super excited. We'll sleep in, hit the gym, come home to pack the car & head to Indy for our flight.

I wish I had more to share at this moment but I'm just shocked that it's time. The picture is of the stickers we put on our guest's goodie bags (filled with granola bars, nuts, rice krispie treats, hard candy & we'll add some wine when we get there.)

Have a fabulous week & please know how much I appreciate all the support!

See you as Mrs. B!!!!

Dare I say???

I need the weight loss to slow down!!!!! Never did I think I'd say that outloud but I'm saying it today! The little drop I had yesterday was a blip because today I'm actually down 2 full pounds from last week! Granted, I fit comfortably in my favorite Lucky jeans now but still.

I'm just happy to get back into some of my fun clothes just in time for Vegas. My coach also gave me the go ahead for a modified prep-style week next week to help alleviate any bloat that may happen as a result of stress & travel.

It's full speed ahead kids. Just 8 days left.....

Feeling beyond blessed!

Finally....

I know you expect me to come in here with all wedding talk but I'll just leave that at saying 9 days!!!!!!!!!!

What I really came in to proclaim is that my 2 week plateau has been BUSTED!!!! I actually found out that my scale has been registering .5 before I even get on the darn thing!!!! I'm down .8 which isn't much but I'll take it!!!!! I cannot lie & say I've been eating totally "clean" but I've been VERY mindful lately of my intake. And not missing a training or cardio session along with that. No real secrets on how I did it other than had a proper cheat this weekend (body needed the refeed) & stayed the course when frustrated.

I'm working with my coaches to come up with a pre-wedding plan to alleviate any potential bloat that will come along with stress, PMS (though taking measures to not start) & travel (I bloat a bit in flight..ew!) I'm also trying to see if I can do a few full-body workouts next week because there's no way I can work in my 5 training days!

I also became aware today of how a situation & back-handed comment by old friends really got under my skin yesterday. I realized today that sometimes people cannot fully move past things that happen & if it makes them feel better to make comments then so be it. Situations like that are no fun even when both sides are at fault. It's best to move past it. I let the devil get under my skin but today shoved him aside moving forward know that I've never said a negative thing about anyone involved. I've never even shared any particulars of what transpired with anyone but Kevin. It was troubling, clearly.

But I've got bigger things to focus on!!!!

Hope you are all well, chipping away at your goals little by little & making the most of the life you have!!! Blessings come when we least expect them...even if they weren't what we were looking for! Find your blessings & embrace them!!!

Whew.

I know the posts are only weekly but that's how it's gotta be! Crunch time is on & I feel like I hardly have any time left until we depart for Vegas! In fact, I have only 1 more week of work left. Next Tuesday will be my last day for a full week! Eek!

I'm moved out of my house now & we are cleaning tonight! My BFF's MIL will be moving in this weekend. I need to mail "welcome" cards to our wedding guests, assemble goodie bags for shipping (they will be at the hotel when we arrive), finalize any details then Saturday I'll pick up my dress. Pass off keys & garage remote to my house on Sunday & start packing for the trip.

Whew is right. But in just 11 days, I'll be married to the man of my dreams! He got me a super sweet Valentine's card too! We didn't do anything over the top for V-Day knowing that our big present is just around the corner.

Hope you are all doing well!!!

18 days.

Yep, it's coming that fast!!!!!! This Sunday we had our tasting for the home reception & I was very relieved after getting that all in place! The reception site is so thorough & take care of EVERYTHING!!!! I drop off everything on Friday (favors, guest book, place cards, etc) & they take care of it ALL!!!! The only thing we have to do on Saturday for the reception is show up & celebrate!

We had our cake flavors picked out too but changed one decision! We initially wanted carrot cake but with the significant upcharge & uncertainty of people actually liking it, we changed that choice. Our cake flavors will be banana & white with fresh strawberries. All of Strongbow's cakes are iced with their signature italian buttercream. Super tasty & out of this world! They really have the best cakes in the Region! Our cake will look like the one above in shape & height. The outer design will be a horizontal ribbed look & embellished with crystals. It's very simple. Our floral decorations will be just like the pic with red roses as a topper & red petals on the table. Pretty, eh?

Things are definitely coming together & I just can't wait. My house is almost completely moved with the exception of maybe 1-2 more trips. I will be completely moved by next weekend! Yikes!!!!!!!

Tick tock.....

Go RED!

If you've been reading my blog for any length of time or even just caught the "about me" posts, then you know that I lost my Mom to heart disease. In fact, my Grandmother (maternal) also died from heart disease. So it's not wonder that I'm such a fanatic about keeping fit & healthy.

Do you know someone that needs a boost? Someone that needs a gentle nudge in the right direction? Well, the American Heart Association may just be that nudge they need & they are offering a 12-week program at no cost too!

Check out their program: Better U

Please share this link with anyone you know that just needs to get healthy! They offer a program overview, blogs to follow other's progress, coaching tools & even recipes.
