Parrots & parties.

So it's confirmed. Saturday night, we are going to see this guy....

Do you know? I'm not a super fan like hubby & his friend but I like a good cheeseburger (hint.) It'll be fun & I agreed to be DD! Not only is it an hour away (easy drive) but it's supposed to be almost 90 out. Me + alchohol + extreme heat = reminders of passing out at a Bodeans concert. Not good. It'll be purely entertaining watching the Parrotheads get drunk & silly!

I'm also debating my 20th class reunion. I was excited to inititally go but then started to waiver. I keep in touch with the folks I want to via Facebook. I'm hearing the cliques (our included) are still in full force (some still extremely, well, you know) so I started to rethink it. It's $60/person. I think we are going to just go to the Friday night mixer instead. Did you go to your 20th? I missed the 10 year since I'd just moved to Vegas.

Thinking outloud here ;)

I did go to my 20th. But I am the nosey type and have to see what everyone is doing and who has taken their health seriously. It didn't help that I looked fabulous and I was the only one who didn't wear black. I wore a bright turquoise dress that shouted look at me! It was fabulous!

That's so funny! They all know I'm not fat anymore & a lot of people have "friended" me just because they've heard & want to know what I look like. It's no secret especially for the ones that were total jerks to me.

I'm just not certain I'll go. Ironically, Kevin's reunion (not 20th) is the same night so we may do that instead.

Well, I still have another year to wait until my 10th reunion...and I keep up with who I want to, and check out people on facebook when I feel like it...I say "so what?" if the cliques are still holding strong. It could be interesting to see how as individuals, they have evolved...and maybe not pay the $60, but go to the mixer...if it sucks, you tried it, and you can leave saying you did, instead of regretting it...ya know? I laugh at the jerks I encountered...a lot of them have done absolutely nothing with their lives, depending on mom, dad, and trust funds...but have nothing to show. JUST GO :-) for a little while!

HEY! Nice to "see" you girl!!! I understand what you are saying with the "who cares" & am truly in that place mentally but do I want to spend $120 to feel like I'm at prom again? Well, minus the big hair & poofy dresses. LOL

We'll probably just go to the mixer which I should add is at the dodgiest bar in town! haha

Missed my 10th, even tho I helped with the planning. We moved to Florida a few months before the reunion and I didn't fly back. Sooo looking forward to my 20th (same weekend as yours). Attending both the Friday nite bar scene and the reunion dinner. Going without the hubby to the dinner ~ attending with a girlfriend or two, instead. Saves us money and him the hassle of being extremely bored!
